Since we just converted our Monk from 30 amp to single 50 amp, I am not on the hunt for a 50/250 shore power chord that is in good shape! *If you have one laying around you want to sell let me know ASAP.

Be aware that there are unscrupulous folks out there. Avoid any interaction that seems odd to you or �feels� wrong. Inquiries from unknown buyers, buyers �agents� and other non-traditional approaches should be treated with extreme caution.
Beware of unsolicited contacts offering to put you in touch with someone else who is buying or selling via e-mail or text.
Do not post your e-mail address or phone number in a classifieds ad.
Hints that you may be dealing with a Scammer:
- Seller or Buyer approaches you via a direct email or PM and then steers you to an off-site communication method (text or email).
- No posts or very few forum posts.
- Recent forum membership
- Insists on conducting negotiations via email or text rather than PM
- Requires payment via Bank Transfer, BitCoin/CryptoCurrency, WesternUnion or other unsecured method.

I think you'll be better off (or happier anyway) and more flexible by splitting it into two 30A chords. That's what people that have 50A chords that I have talked to. They are heavy and expensive.

I initially wanted to do twin 30 amp power. When we looked at what all needed to be done to accomplish that though it got expensive quick....would have to add a second smaller electrical panel, swap out the generator relay, etc. In the end it was much easier to convert to single 50 amp. My last boat was 50 amp so I know all too well how heavy they can be but it sure beats having the boat burn to the waterline due to an electrical fire had I kept it as single 30 amp!

However you will only be able to bring aboard 30A per cord (per leg) which may defeat the purpose of the up grade , which can bring aboard 50A per leg.

Good point...that's exactly my reason to upgrade to 50 amp.* Better off with 2 shorter cords than dowsizing...make them up if you have to.* The RV world uses shorter cords but you do need to change one or both ends.

On another boat I burned the connection on a 50 / 250 cord once and decided to just go buy a new one.* After finding out the the new cord was $675 (in 2003) I decided that I would repair the cord with a $75 cord end.*
I sure love my two (2) 30 amp cables on this Pilgrim.*
