AutoSpeed - $25 Temperature Controller and Display!

Bought one and had it on the genset for a few days now and it works.

Looks like it has many uses. I’m curious on what sending units would be compatible. My genset has no gauges.

Deepsea controls has some nice low buck genset controllers. I've used some of their bigger controllers on some old Kohler's. They have some nice features not to mention they have some very compact units.

Thanks for the tip

I got that, a 3metre temp probe and the piezo buzzers for $12 total delivered.
Works a treat

I got three similar last year, and had fun sticking the probes on various bits in the ER and setting up alarms. Lots of good uses.

Thanks! for the post!

Just ordered one from EBay for 12.95 with free shipping. :thumb:

Or for maybe a few more bucks, Borel sells a kit. Had exhaust alarms on both mains and gen on the trawler and now of main and genny in this 30-footer. My main has a seawater delivery capacity of 142 quarts at 3800 RPM (wot), so at my normal running around rpm of 3000, it would take a second or two for that alarm to cook off.
