That’s a real change! Helm chair looks more supportive than the original. Did you choose to bind the carpet edges at the hatch areas?

BTW is the carpet color dark gray or blue? We always go with dark gray due to our black lab...

Kinda looks like a forest green on my phone, good contrast to the beige/cream upholstery.

The carpet is a dark forest green.
Yes, we already had a centerline hatch. That is probably the most
important modification you can do to a 4788 Bayliner
I stapled down thew carpet at the hatches. They were already sized to have the carpet fold down over the edges.
I am TOO happy with the color and the new carpet. The dark green goes great with the beige upholstery and the teak.
The helm seat is a huge upgrade! Very comfey!!!

Who makes your new chair? Did you also replace the pedestal? I just replaced my flybridge helm chairs and pedestals. Todd chairs and Springfield pedestals.

I love the look and feel of new carpet. Yes it makes it seem like a whole new boat!
The chair is by Lebroc, and the pedestal is springfield. I went with the adjustabe base, and 4” tube, and baseplate.
This is screwed and 5200’d to the deck to avoid issues in a rough sea.
