I placed a vertical support from the inboard stringer to the floor system at each end of the mocked A frame. It basically transferred the weight onto the inboard stringer. The wood came from a scrap pile at work. I used a 2 ton come-a-long at the rear of the engine and a 2 ton rated ratchet strap around the pulley simply because that is what my brother and I could pull together on short notice. so I got out of this one pretty cheap I guess. I paid $300.00 for the pan that came off of a seized tractor motor ( is what I was told) the guy threw in the new gasket. And I plan on buying my brother dinner for helping me on his free weekend . It was a sweet moment when we got the engine down on the new supports on Sunday afternoon. I hope to get the motor going this weekend.
