I was fairly shocked how little coverage this got. As a runner when I was young, Roger Bannister was simply super-human in his feat. Especially in the wake of the Olympics, you would think there would be more coverage of this.
On a side note, my ex-wife worked with his son (Clive) for a short while in a to-be-unnamed consulting firm in a to-be-unnamed South Asian City-State where Grand Banks moved in the early '70s (see, I'm keeping it vague)!
I just am gob-stopped that no one really cares about his achievements; I gather the name is so old it can't be used to generate clicks, so journalism editors today discount playing it up. So sad.
