Do they make engine shrouds for Lehman 120 engines?

Thanks,

Frank

I am interested too as my insurance company asked for next years policy.

I dont see a practical shroud with the coolant line the way it is....but will fit one if they insist.

Have metal and welder..........

Surely it only needs a shroud on the spinny parts and, should have already.

Yeah, the finger eaty parts are what I am thinking of.

Old engine without many easy attachment points.

Plus a large coolant hose in tbe way that passes through the alternater belt.

If it was easy, I would do it witout the slightest question.

Belt shrouds are easy to make. I use galvanized sheet metal. I've seen them made out of plywood, too. Any decent AC/Heating company usually does sheet metal work. I saw a plywood shroud on another boat that mounted in front of the engine and fastened on the bottom to the engine rails. Just one brace for support. It was shaped to block the front of the belts and turning parts. The insurance people had no issue.

Check with Lancing Marine in the UK, they sell new Ford engines and the latest models will have plastics shrouds. A bit bulky for shipping though.

I have always heard them referred to as guards.

I have one. I bought it around the turn of the century. It has a hole for the coolant line. Unfortunately it was from North Jersey Marine and they are no longer in business.

Those of you who have one, could you take a picture and post it?

How about mocking it up in cardboard. Then cover the cardboard in fiberglass?

It just covers the front so I suppose it's more of a bikini than an shroud.
