I'm re-installing my helm station gauges in a new panel along with some new gauges and switches. The original gauges that required a ground were all daisy chained together with a ground wire. I'd like to add a ground busbar under the panel*and run the grounds to the common busbar and eliminate the daisy chaining. I believe it will make a cleaner installation.

Anyone see a problem with that?

I did that when I replaced the instruments in my upper station.* But only after I had them daisy chained together and couldn't get consistent readings with the lower station. Individual grounds fixed that and the upper & lower instruments match exactly now.

The buss bar is the only way to go.

Not only is it not a problem, but it will eliminate many potential problems. The only reason builders don't do this is cost. We redid ours this way recently. Chuck

Best way to install most anything is with an eye on installing the NEXT version.
