North Carolina shoaling

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I had to look up Barden Inlet! That's the back way around Shackleford Banks.....only those with superior local knowledge or very shoal draft boats go that way. The rest of us go out Beaufort Inlet and turn to port.

Superior local knowledge AND a shoal draft (<2' now, around 3 previously) AND the right tide. Always been dicey at the S turn involving the noted markers.

I was going to write AND/OR....but didn't. I wouldn't go back there in anything than a flat bottom skiff or jet ski!
