The trawler I bought last summer came with a variety of electronics, all dated, but some worth keeping. The one most likely to go to the dumpster is a counter-intuitive Si-tex nav display on the open bridge. Not only is it user-hostile, the manual is gibberish, but most important to this story, it is almost unreadable in sunlight, even with my lightly- tinted glasses.
In the wheelhouse I've replaced a superannuated Garmin with a laptop running Coastal Explorer and am quite happy with that arrangement.
Enough exposition, here's my question: Can anyone recommend a bright display for my bridge so I can run C.E. there also? A simple monitor slaved to the primary computer would probably serve, but a laptop or large tablet may be best. Obviously weather-resistant is desirable.
I've searched online, with ambiguous results.
