Any news on the boats that were involved?* Injuries?* Piers?

I heard a 42 Carver, and maybe a Krogen?* Keith, not yours I hope.

Nope, it was on the other side of the marina, on pier 2. The very polite League City FD probably turned their sirens off before entering the marina, which is probably why I slept through it. 3-5 boats burned, one sank, supposedly no fuel in the water but booms out anyway. No injuries that I'm aware of. Here's some local coverage.

Wonder why they won't say the name of* the marina? Keep lookey-loos away?

Good to hear that everyone is OK.* I got more info from you than I did searching the internet.* Thanks!

Keith, in May we visited with the owner of the Krogen Manatee Noah's Ark on Pier 2. Please advise if it was involved in the fire & condition if it was.

Thx, Philip

Disregard Keith.** Unfortunately found my answer. The Krogen was Noah's Ark.

Oh my gosh!* Where did you get that picture?* Were there more?

Wow.* It's amazing that it didn't consume more boats.

Thanks for the link to the article.

WOW!! I think the folks that own Noah's Ark were the people that had my boat under contract. BON DIA, were they new owners??? I guess it doesn't really matter but curious.

Older couple, ex sailboaters, purchased Manatee in*March or April*of '11.* Boat previously had been committee boat for local sail boat races &*was damaged in the hurricane that hit GAL.**New owners had made a lot of improvements & upgrades.* Shame, was a nice boat.*

If it was the guy who used "pops" as a handle on here, I had met them too. They were on Baker's pier, then if it was them, moved over there. How ironic.

*Yep, that was them. *Shame. *I knew the previous owners as they were my dock neighbors...like Keith said. *And then they sold it to those folks. *Anyway, that is terrible!

We owned our boat four months to the day the Marina called and said the boat next to us exploded setting her on fire and she was completely destroyed.
Sad we lost our boat and also sad one more Krogen is lost.
Belonging to Krogen Cruisers we received not only help with pending projects but also a sense of belonging to a caring group of people that we looked forward to meeting (annual meeting?).
Looking back, the question are all Krogens seaworthy? Might have been better than asking are Manatees seaworthy?
We are looking for a retirement boat hope its a Krogen.
Thanks for everything
Pops

Poor Pops. Can't help but think about my own feelings if it were my boat. What a depressing situation, and he sounded so enthusiastic on the Krogen site. A shame, and one less Manatee for someone to love.

No word on the cause yet. Here are some pix of the aftermath.
