Cummins 6bta315 injector pump casing crack

Hi All,

Just discovered that my fuel injector pump on my Cummins 6bta 315 has a crack in the outer casing. Has anyone had a similar issue?
Does leak a bit of oil.
If so did you need to rebuild your pump?
What would be the cause.

It is a Bosch 2 425 209 158

Thanks for your reply.
I have added a photo it is a hairline crack where the pump meets the mainbody of the injectors.(photo not that great)
It is dribbling oil but havn't had to top up the oil since the last oil change about 60 hours ago.
Was hoping wasn't going to cost a fortune to fix.

Wow,so that's how they are meant to look.
They crack is just above the throttle sleeve where the pump meets the main body of the injector body.
Sorry not at boat to get a better photo.
We thought the leak was coming from the gasket until we took a closer look.
