Speaking of Water Systems

My water supply was getting "interesting" tastes and aromas. After 40-odd years I decided it was time to take a look in there. I cut a square hole in the deck (both sides) and installed a hatch. They are a bit crude, not as nice as a Freeman hatch but less than half the price. I didn't get weldable flanges, they are stainless so I'll see if the butyl tape I used to seal them will give me a break on galling. The screws are stainless 18/8 and there are self-locking nuts inside. I began to clean one tank so far and the improvement is as good as I'd hoped. I need to do something with the deck for aesthetics but it will have to do for now. No shots inside yet, I might be tricked once they are clean.
