Anyone with the time or machine, please post your thoughts on the differences and positive aspects between the two.

I am trying to decide whether to buy a Lighthouse 3 or do a bargain basement Lighthouse 2 purchase.

Lighthouse 2 and 3 are software versions, so the older MFD should be able to upgrade to the new version.

Supposedly the new flir displays are out as of the 15th. I'm looking for info on the displays not the software as much.

That's true about the upgradability, but in trying to wade through the salesman gobbledygook over the three main differences of versions of displays: processor speed (no lag time), better daylight viewing and higher pixel screen resolution are what I am looking for.

My eyes aren't getting any better. But I am wondering just how much better the new displays are in real user comparisons as opposed to salesman speak.
