Who made the diesel engine that was put in the 89 GB 42 that a 7K was mounted on?

Mitsubishi. I think at that vintage it is a K3D.

I went to Westerbreke web site and they don't list K3D.

They don't advertise who made their engines. Go look on the side of the block, model number is cast into the side near oil filter.

Google "Mitsubishi K3D" and you will find specs, parts, whatever.
