I think it actually controls the toilet. This is a vacuum flush head but unlike the Vacuflush, the vacuum generator is built in, not separate.

If I remember correctly, there are three different "levels" of the Excellence head. The highest level having the computerized controls.

Of course, all this could be cleared up by just looking it up on the Internet.
