While working on removing my raw water pump I noticed a slight melting on the plastic wire covering the terminals to the battery isaloater. I have a picture of the unit attached. I did not upload the pictures of the wire ends. My question is where to start looking for the cause of the problem. I have sent an email to Marinco asking the same question.
Anyone ever :confused:have this issue? Everything works fine on the boat.

I suspect that the terminals on the battery isolator weren't tight, which caused a voltage drop and heat which melted the insulation. Tighten them up and all should be good.

Thanks David. Since winterizing I have discovered several projects I want to address. Forgot my cable to the camera to down load the pictures. Once I'm done with the raw water pump I'll go over all my cables.
Jeff.

Or possibly the terminal ends are not properly connected to the wires?
Corrosion or bad crimp, resistance equals heat. Just a thought
