My new to me boat has a JRC antenna mounted on it, well it was until Matthew but that's a different paragraph.
The boat did not have a radar head unit installed when either I or the PO bought it.
I have a line on an inexpensive JRC 3000 head unit with mount, cable, manual etc.
It is a few hours away and my boat is just over an hour away.
Sooo not knowing exact specs about the antenna I guess my question is... is there a difference?
Will most any JRC antenna work on most any JRC head unit?
Nearest recollection is that my antenna is an 18". Ive only handled it once picking it up after a 6 foot fall to the upper deck when Matthew took my hard top down.
The other question is how well would these heavy antennas take a 4-6'fall.
Fell onto chairs while still attached to the hard top. May have been a soft landing.
BTW the radar is really cheap so maybe worth a try regardless.
Input appreciated.
