Hi All,
I have a 12 volt boat but a 24 volt bow thruster powered by 2x12 volt batteies wired in parallel. The thruster has a dedicated charger powered by shore power or gen set. I want to rig it so the thruater batteries can be charged by the same 200 amp alternator on my stb engine that presently charges the other 5 x 12 volt batteries. I heard I could use a series parallel switch to accomplish this. Any comments would be most welcome. Thank you.
