Our yacht club is doing a wagon-wheel raft-up this month (Southern California, why not?) and I would like to know if there is dinghy ingress and egress when the raft is complete, as I do not want to be locked into the raft.

There was dinghy access in and out for a wagon wheel raft-up I saw on Lake Of The Woods during LOWISA-29. The Division One boats, which included my Dovekie, did not participate.

I think the local Sea-Ray club leaves dinghy access for theirs every year at Mildred Island. Ask your organizer to be sure.

They also set up a large screen on one of the boats and they watch movies drive in theater style from the dinghy's.

Your yacht club should know.

We are gonna have a pre-raft-up meetin' for participants. That is one of the questions I will be askin'. We do not want to be "locked up" on our boat the whole week-end.

Won't work, as it would make visitin' other boats difficult. Stern in, we just go from swim step to swim step, but have to climb over sail boats, trippin' on the riggin'.
