Left Portland for the long day's drive to Alma, NB. The tidal swings are worth the drive! Amazing. Stayed at a very nice little place, Cliffside suites, Alma.
Drove to Prince Edward Island yesterday and stayed at the West Point lighthouse, very cool!
Making our way back to boat today.

Funny I should read this, we plan on going to PEI and NB in 2018 with the boat, but as far as the Bay of Fundy, I told Wendy we'll be seeing it from a land-yacht, LOL....

we spent some time cruising the lower bay of fundy and the coast of Maine.... Eastport to Calais; Campobello island; Machias Seal Island (has a puffin colony with observation shacks) Roques Island; etc. Well worth the effort to see the puffin colony; "old sow" the whirlpool off of Deer Island; the reversing falls in cobskook bay(and Saint John, New Brunswick)and of course the tides ranging from 24 feet in the St Croix River to 60 ft in the upper bay. We documented the trip with pics and turned it into a book.... Google Doc's Holiday Coming Home. Despite the adversity of fog, tides, customs and immigration, the trip is worth the effort.
