Toilet Tissue

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
What would do you do with used "feminine Hygiene products" baby diapers, or Depends?

We used to keep ziplock bags and paper bags in the head for just that situation. My wife was in charge of instructing female guests.

Put the item in the ziplock bag, zip it and put it in the paper bag. At that point it could go in the trash bag.

I have never seen instructions with a marine head that prohibit flushing toilet paper or even suggest not flushing it. This has to be something made up by some uninformed boat owners.

if the proper TP won't clog the head, then flush away. The two times the head clogged it had nothing to do with TP. Once it was a guest who had a bm like rock--seriously, and the other it was a tampon. The rock star was embarrassed.

Holy crap, time to change the subject!

A handy hint. Halve TP waste by using both sides.

Wifey B: I'll let you use the second side. I'm just using the first.

Gives meaning to the words of that song, "I've looked at ___ from both sides now.." la de da, de la de da... :D

I use both sides. After first wipe using several paper sections, fold paper in half and use clean half for second wipe.

Wifey B: Omg. If you really do that, I have to ask why and how you got started. Wouldn't work for me, as I fold it before the first wipe. I hear something new every day but double using TP wasn't one I expected. We were poor when I was growing up but didn't do that. I didn't know people wiped without folding.

What's wrong, Howard? Too much information?

I've learned things I did not want to learn. I have mental images I can't erase. Perhaps an adult beverage or two and a good night's sleep will help.

Wifey B: I'm glad Oliver took your shoes now after you doing this sh..ty thread.

I had no idea people used TP in such different ways. I'd never thought to ask others how they did it or watch to see. I don't even recall learning. I am pleased though that hubby and I both do it the same. Also quizzed the other four with us and found they do as well. No double users or single ply and no fold or any of the other freaky stuff. I suggested to Nikki maybe go take a poll of the marina but she rejected that idea. :)

didn't know there was an ABC standard for "proper" materials and use.....

Wifey B: Well, it's sure gotten a lot of giggles (and a few omg's) from those on our boat as I've read it aloud. :D

But my technique requires no contact with poop, and I wash my hands, always!!

Wifey B: But why? Why oh why oh why? Who taught you that or did you develop the routine alone? Does your wife know? Surely she doesn't do it that way too?:nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono::nonono:

TMI!

There are somethings you're just better off not knowing about people you interact with. Paper work is one of those things. I need another beer to forget about this thread.

Don Moon you're on my **** list for posting a link to this thread.

Dear God! Where is the eye bleach?

The OP--me-- simply wanted to point out that Scott made a rapid dissolving TP that was available at a good price from Amazon. I thought others might like to know about the product as I did not know it existed. Seems I unleashed a sh!!t storm. Can we please get back to discussing anchors?

Yes, as often happens, your intentions were good.
