What are folks using for cleaning and protecting Hypalon boats?
Seen a couple references to 303, is that the gold standard?

Be careful....a lot of inflatables wound up with seam failure after Armor All products were found to get silicon under the glued seams,

Only use what the manufacturer recommends or equivalent.

For one reason or another we have had many inflatables over the years and have had great results with Aurora products for cleaners and sealers, here is a link.

You will find that a number of manufacturers handbooks say to stay away from products like 303 which contain silicone.

:thumb: ...I am the first one to try and save a dime or use what I have on hand....but destroying a several thousand dollar dink would hurt me more than just letting it die an early death....

I would make darn sure because there is a history out there with silicone and dingy failures.

Aerospace 303 has no silicones, not like Armorall either.

It is a protectant, not a cleaner, but it keeps things very clean. Has an SPF of 40.

I like it a lot. I use it on my brightwood,

A writeup for using 303 on inflatable kayaks.
Importance of 303 Protectant for Inflatable Kayaks

Amazon has for $16 a 32 oz spray bottle of 303, which is best price I have seen.

303 Protectant Features
Extremely effective UV protection for all inflatable boat materials including Hypalon, PVC and Nitrylon.
Restores color, shine and gloss without being oily.
Easy to use – spray on and wipe off.
Repels dust, soiling and staining and treated surfaces will stay cleaner longer.
Does not contain any silicone oils, waxes, glycerine or petroleum distillates.
Besides being good for inflatable kayak materials it can also be used on vinyl, leather, fibreglass, plastic windows and chrome.
Also improves resistance to chemicals and other types of harmful exposure.
Non toxic and non-flammable

one more time...what the manufacturer recommends or equivalent.....especially if dingy is still under warranty.

I hear ya. Tried to look up information, 8 year old boat made by Valiant out of Portugal with a Mercury badge on it. No luck.

then use manufacturers suggestions that use similar materials and construction techniques.
