There is a lot of talk on Boatdiesel regarding the cleaning and inspecting of air coolers.
In 12 years of mostly fresh water use I have never done it, turbo charged Yanmar 4lha-ste's.
Are you guys doing this? If you can get the core out how* do you clean it? Air side and coolent side.
New gaskets I assume when putting it back together.
