Yours looks like it was well loved and in very good condition. The one I purchased was well used. However, the more I dig into it, the more I appreciate how well these boats were made. I'm doing a little demolition to make way for some improvements and that is requiring much more effort than the last Taiwanese boat I tore apart.

In my boat there would be plenty of room in the aft cabin but mine does not have the centerline berth. Also, I believe all these boats came with flybridge and dual stations

I've seen several pictures of Prairie 36's and Atlantic 37's with a washer/dryer. On mine I would probably put it at the bottom of the steps to the aft cabin, outboard of the steps, where there's a current stowage locker. Here's a picture (from a 1981 P36, not mine.)


It could also go forward of the lower helm, in another locker, but (1) that would block access to the back of the controls, and (2) a lot of these had the forward head in that location, instead of on the port side like mine.

These boats are beamy and have a lot of interior space. Fitting something like a washer/dryer in would be easier on a Prairie than a lot of other similar-length boats.

Oh! Nicer place to squeeze one in than I was thinking. . .which was to cut out one side of a v-berth and turn the forward cabin into a laundry room

There is a lower helm. On our Prairie 36, there's also a full vinyl enclosure around the flybridge. We run from up there in all weather.

There is a lower helm as Capt Tom stated, right next to the Starboard side sliding door. I saw this as a plus when I purchased my Prairie 36 as I will be single handing it the majority of the time.

Your boat is beautiful. I currently have mine on the market in New Bern as well. But your condition is really primo. I need to work more on cosmetics for mine. I'd love to have twins.
