All the above plus cell phones, gigabytes, data plans and other mysterious means of communication. I'm looking at a TrackIt tv thingy and Direct tv bundled with the new AT&T unlimited data deal. Any thoughts on that setup? How does everyone get internet aboard. Wi-Fi hotspots? Through the cell phone with big data plans? What about wifi antennas? (Cruising plans are mostly in the ICW and eventually the Loop). Dazed and confused.

If you're doing the loop about all you need is cellular data. With perhaps a wifi antenna/booster.

You might consider a cellular router that you can put a SIM card in and hook it up with a couple of antennas to get the fastest speeds.

As to TV, that depends on how much you watch it. You can go simple with a basic antenna for free local channels and use you router/wifi for Hulu, Netflix and the like with say Apple TV. Or go full on SAT TV.

The most useful TV is the local weather , free with a modest antenna.

So many land shops have free Wi Fi , keeping up is not difficult.

Esp in the loop .
