Simrad cx44 default location

Hi I have a simrad cx44 in a mainship 390 that came from the USA. I am in Australia, when it boots up the chart has me in Denmark for about 10 minutes then eventually I get to Australia. May be I am missing it in the manual but it seems to me I should be able to set up a starting default position in Australia
Any advice appreciated

Welcome aboard! How about searching online for a Manual, it might help with this problem and generally.
Did you buy your boat recently in Newcastle?

Simrad default location

Thanks I have read the manual a number of times, I can enter in Sydney coordinates but doesnt get me there any faster, I think it probably needs to be looking for a satellite in the southern hemisphere...so Ia m trying to get it to do that

Yes I bought the boat from Newcastle, now we are in Sydney

What is the unit using as a datum? (appendix B1 of the manual)

Problem Solved

Thanks for the solution, it was in appendix b1, I just needed to change my datum to 021 Australia
