Hello members,
These pics are from the epic year I spent cruising the east coast of Australia. The area is the northern New South Wales, from the small country town of Bullahdella along the upper Myall to the lakes then along the lower Myall to Port Stephens. There is some superb scenery along this water way along with prolific water birds. Water levels were historically high after flooding so I was indeed privileged to complete this trip. Had less than a metre under the keel in some spots. Hope you enjoy.

1. about to depart Bullahdellah
2. upper Myall river -still farming land
3. upper Myall river - into National park
4. "
5. Nerong
6. Bombah broadwater - Myall Lakes System
7. "
8. First (best) mate with some locals
9. Lining up the channel markers to enter the very squeezy lower Myall.
10. Half way down the lower Myall- it got very shallow here and ran aground a few times even with channel markers !

will attempt to link some videos of trip

This black swan put on a show right in front of us, I think it was not at all scared of us, maybe it took a liking to "Nimiane" as she is a very graceful vessel too.

Stunning riverside along the lower Myall river between Lakes and Tea Gardens.

All beautiful. For now, Australia is just a future dream, but we do intend one day to get there. I was there once for a couple of weeks on business. Even in that time I fell in love with the country and I didn't even see much of it's real beauty.

Yes, you and wifey need to get over here. Try to fit in a visit to NZ as well. You would not regret it, for sure...

Nice photos this is my backyard and I know every inch of the waterways wish I knew you were here

My backyard too...about 40min from our farm! You can hire houseboats and explore multiple inter-connected lakes. Here's the location for anyone wanting to see the lake system in Google Earth: 32°27'43.80" S 152°20'42.73" E
