There are auto restoration specialists that could make one that looks better than the original but I guess I'll just go with the black/white sandwich plastic that engravers use. The black will not last long in the sun but it's usually covered so may be ok.
Just annoying Naiad runs out of stuff like this as they probably cost them a dollar each back in '93....they should have hundreds of them squirreled away and just stick one in a 49 cent envelope and ship it out for free.
