If all stays well we will sleep on the boat tomorrow, Sunday, and head East Monday morning. Lock across the Mississippi R. and New Orleans*Tuesday. from then along the GICW to Apalachicola, an overnight crossing of*the corner of the Gulf to Tarpon Springs, FL. (to load up an Greek food)*then continue to the*Ft. Myers/ Sanibel area. We'll be about a month going and a month*on the return, lots of stops to visit friends along the way.*I'll be posting to a blog with lots of pics when I get it going, I'll put the address up here so anyone who might be interested can have a look.

Steve,
trust me- we're talking about it! Will most likely keep her up on the TN River this summer due to various reasons but we are contemplating cruising her to the gulf shores area, destin, or even St. Pete area to our family's place down there. Hopefully this fall we can make something like that happen. :)
Til then, we'll be reading your blog. ;)

If you are going thru the Flori-bama area in April, you might check out the annual Mullet Toss!!!

Thanks John, I've stopped at the FloraBama a few times for a beer or two, never for the mullett toss, too big a crowd for my likes (now) We've spent many vacations in the area over the years.

When I was there Kenny Stabler tossed the first mullet.* Don't know if he still does it.* He is from Foley about 6 miles up the road, and had a place on Ono Island.

Happy Mardi Gras!!

Well, the weather has not been cooperating with us at all. We were delayed in New Orleans for a few Days and now in Biloxi, high winds across the shallow Mississippi Sound make for an uncomfortable day. Looks like things will be better Friday Morning, we'll see!
In the meantime I have started the blog if you enjoy reading those here is the site address
