The owner abandoned the boat years ago, heard he was on the run from the Law.
This was a good running boat a few years ago.

I saw them dragging it over to the dumpster, I knew it was the end.
Transom has been ripped off by the front end loader.
It could be the courts have ordered the boat destroyed?
Or Ehrlin just got tired of it sitting there.
When I had looked at this, the hull looked sound to me.

Sad. I love the lines on those boats. I watched one in our neighborhood slowly deteriorate at the dock over several years. Then one day I cruised past and saw her sitting on the bottom. It is a shame, but I suspect it just doesn't make financial sense to restore these old wooden boats.

I've always liked those boats. Looks like a mid 60's Constellation. I had a 27 footer and loved it but someone gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. I swore I wouldn't have another boat I couldn't easily trailer unless it was big enough to live on comfortably. Hate to see these go. The guy who bought mine let it sink and never raised it back up. :banghead:

I suspect the marina owner obtained ownership due to yard fees not being paid.
