Well just doing my yearly check in with you guys. I am working on the fiberglass, doors and engines. I'll take some pictures and try to keep it up to date.

Welcome back Paul , I've been wondering what's up .

Good to see you back on Paul!

Well I dropped the stacks, stack mounts and davit mounts off to the powder coat shop this afternoon. The holes, I'll take some pictures tomorrow, are glassed up. Luckily I was able to swap out the coating work for some piling work. Great day

Here are some progress shots of the glass work, I am building a wall finally inside to house the electrical panels.

Hey Paul ,
Is your boat planked with jupiter and glassed over ? I know they used a lot of that in your area . Have you had to do any plank repair?

No the planking is cypress. I haven't had to replace any planks. They sea flexed the boat back in the 70's. The hull has more than a 1/2" of glass on it.

I'm using the mobile app so bear with me. We cut panels for the ceiling and have been removing hardware. Took the anchor, windless and chain apart and removed most of the stainless handrail. I also took the supports for the rear deck roof and inserted pressure blocks to make the roof flush. I'll take some more pictures tomorrow of the other work,

That looks like an old Ideal windlass. If so it is a keeper!

Jupiter? That sh1t must be expensive!
Dang it I meant Juniper . I forgot to measure twice and cut once . This crap happens every time I get all confident and think I know what I'm talking about .
And I'm a lumber guy :nonono::nonono:
Anyway nice work Paul . The Rose is shaping up to be one sweet Lugger .

It's actually a newer windlass the po had installed before the fire.

I think I am getting this boat confused with a guy who converted a shrimper hull into a trawler. Think he took it all the way to Guatamela?

Anyone remember that boat?

New pictures from today. I am covering up the rails, there was a lot of rot down deep from the rail supports. Dug it out and replaced it. Took some drive buy shots.

Greetings,
Mr. S. That second last shot (bow) does it for me. What an impressive vessel. I've never seen her from that angle.

Really nice work, Swampu! You've made amazing progress.

Great lines....a true riverboat!

Well I got the smoke stacks and davits from the powder coat

What he said plus I really like all the overhang .

Come-on, Marty.....you're a woodworker and could make Wm into a mini-Swampu any time you wanted! Get on with the extended roof project.....probably less work than the cockpit hardtop was.
