I was looking at the Garmin BlueChart iPad app with a friend using it as his primary chart source. The question of how to view bridge info came up. A VERY few bridges have an associated bridge icon which can be tapped and bridge height is displayed. For bridges without the bridge icon (most of them) I see no way to obtain info.

Am I overlooking something?

Well, I guess I've answered my own question. Looked under Chart Options - Active Captain, then checked Local Knowledge and up popped numerous bridge icons with bridge height info. Not very intuitive but it appears to work. Not quite sure why the bridge info isn't coming directly from the BlueCharts but is instead being "added on" by Active Captain. Whatever works.

And after email communication with Garmin I find that you can click on a bridge location and have their round icon pop up with various options of where to go from there. Click on the "..." option and up pops another set of options, including an "i" option for chart information. Clicking that brings up all the various notes, disclaimers, etc. that are scattered around on raster charts. Included in that long list of information may be the bridge info that you're seeking. Very clumsy, and the info from Active Captain would seem to be much more readily available and user friendly.
