Well I just can't stay out of this picture posting party. Here's Chris and I in front of the only original NW Indian Clan House in the world*** ...I believe. It's in Kasaan, about 30 mi. NW of Ketchikan. There is a big push here on the Island to get it restored. It's really in quite good shape and there's big totems scattered in the woods along the trail to the house.

You got it.* We live in Olympia*on Budd Inlet.* Admiral Budd said I needed an Outlet.*
Our favorite*3-day weekend cruises*are up Sound to Gig Harbor*or Poulsbo.* Both are great sea fairing harbors.* Jarrell Cove State Park is also one of our favorite overningt destinations.*
Could that be my evil twin living up on Thorne Bay*?

It's a big totem. Prolly 50 or 60'. Just a guess. It's quite a bit bigger than the one in the picture. There are totems inside the Clan House (2) that have a ghostly look w some white painted surfaces. I looked for more pics but can't find. The first pic gives a better look at the house. All other Clan Houses I've seen or heard of are re-creations and I've asked quite a few if the Kasaan house is the only one on original site and all know of no other.

Yeah the Hilstrand boys. *Don't try to keep up with them. Hard drinking hard working couple of Fishermen.
