Hi all Pearl 43 in the UK

Hiya we are Heather and Steve a couple from Essex in the UK
we have been boating for many years and now thinking of going liverboard on our Pearl and maybe going down to the Med through France.
we are also thinking of getting a trawler and doing the ICW for a few years...
we have in the past had property in florida but never a boat, thinking of buying a trawler up north and spending time doing the ICW but no experience of trawlers.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry, I am clueless as to what a Pearl motor boat is but I am guessing it is a canal boat.

thank you for the welcome.

Pearl build motor boats and they are all off shore cruisers mainly coastal. ours is a 43 aft cabin 26 knot cruiser with med specification.

we are looking to change to a trawler style in the future around 50 ft

thanks for the replies

it seems to us that most people livaboard / travel around in sail boats but we would rather do it in our boat or a trawler...
we would like to do the ICW or head of from the UK and travel down to the med through france but no ideas on drafts or routes
