Short of shutting down the engine, there is no way to silence one of the six alarms which my Yanmar 6LPA 315 HP can generate. I imagine having to run the engine while putting up with a known false alarm or having to continue to run the engine in an emergency while possibly talking with the Coast Guard on the radio. So I added a SPST on/off switch that allows the visible alarms to remain on while silencing the piezo screamer. I don't seemto be able to control the orientation of the photos.
