Spare Parts List

Most of you know that the Admiral and I are heading north next summer (leaving in May) to the inside passage.

So I have started a spare parts box. Here is what I have so far:

Everything of course depends on how far out in the boonies you'll be.

Spare gen and main raw water pumps. Or at least rebuild kits. Spare prop/s, cotter keys, nut and prop puller.

Hose clamps of various sizes
Shore cord plugs
Proper tools
Electrical kit
Filter wrenches
Hose repair tape
Sealants and glues
Spare fresh water pump

Without that you can't jump start an engine. And some spare sections of hose.

I like having lots of spares, but keep in mind that you can get pretty much anything to one of the larger ports in AK overnight via Alaska Air's Gold Streak. I used it a couple of times this past summer. Fisheries in Seattle is all set up to ship that way if you want. The package gets held at the airport and you go pick it up. I don't think it's much more expensive than regular overnight, so not cheap, but when you need it, you need it.
