Putting the boat to bed for the winter; looks like the old Jimmy will have to wait until next year to turn 9000.
Above the tach is "GM".
9000 hrs is very easy to achieve on a well cared for diesel engine,especially a Detroit. I would guess that boat has either a 4-71 or a 6-71.
I've never heard a 4-71 referred to as a "Screamin' Jimmy".
I could ogle the Skookum Maru all day.Just a little 3-71, new in the boat in 1956. Starting to get broken in now.
Cowichan Bay.Hawgwash, that's at Ladysmith, or Cowichan Bay?
Is that 9000 hrs, on original liners and pistons?
