I'm having a problem with my generator, the 3 amp AVR breaker is tripping, I already disconnected the breaker from the regulator and it doesn't tripper but I am a little confuse because in the diagram that breaker goes to the brushes. If anybody have a suggestion I would appreciate.

Welcome aboard!
I have a NL, but haven't had this problem. Is it possible the brushes are worn- also possibly a worn commutator? Tripping the breaker indicates excess resistance/ raising the amperage. Just a guess. Good luck.

Can also be a failed breaker. Vibration over time makes them easier to trip. Check brushes and if ok replace breaker.

I also needed a new breaker. It was failing intermittently. Drove me crazy until the NL dealer tech figured it out.

Before you go down too far down the road of frustration, call the Northern Lights factory for advise. Those guys are very patient and helpful. Remember they are Pacific time zone.
