Engine hour meter overestimates

Missed that one. I should know better as I do use the meter for those calcs.

For runs we do also log the actual start and stop times by clock/watch but still, should not have missed that.
 
After the discussion about meter failures, decided to take a proactive approach. Had to add a meter to the charter boat after the one in the Cummins panel died. The new meter has worked flawlessly so far. So I thought for <$30 including shipping why not have a second from the beginning with my new engine.

The panel mount meter is part of the digital display. Feel happier with a mechanical gauge. Wonder if there will be much of a discrepancy between the two. Old saying: Man with 2 watches never knows what time it is. :blush:
