What's the best way to repair a leaking patch? Remove it and start over or patch over it? Current patch is about 3" diameter. Very slow leak. Takes about a week to ten days to get spongy.

Yep, remove clean the area, to remove all the old glue,( I used MEK on my PVC dingy) rough up the surface, then depending on material PVC or hypalon will will determine which type clue to use. Typically the glue for these you put on both surfaces, let to set for 10-20 minutes, put on a second coat wait 5-10 minutes then apply the patch to the damaged area, with pressure.

Does it sound like I just finished this process ? Yea me too, good luck.

I have had very good luck following the procedure Mark described. Big thing is to remove all the old glue. Be patient applying the new glue, let it dry between coats. Wait 24 hours to inflate.

Thanks for the info.
Any special way to remove old patch? I was thinking of using a hot air gun.
