Thinking of purchasing boat in Cleveland. Can I get boat on its bottom to Hudson River after September 1st?

You didn'ention make model...
NY canals have some clearance issues if you are particularly tall.
Canals are open until Nov 1.
I've crewed on 2 yacht deliveries and would consider it if interested.

I've done all of NY canals & Hudson... only alittle Lk Erie experience.

What George said - don't tarry on Lake Erie after Labor Day any longer than you must. The Erie Canal should pose no problems throughout September and into October, but Oneida Lake demands healthy respect if the weather pipes up.
 
What is the speed of the vessel? And how high is she? There are two height considerations when transiting the canal. Depending upon your vessels height you can go all the way from Buffalo to Albany in the Erie Canal. But if you're too high for the first part you have to enter canal at Oswego and do the eastern half.

You need to share more info about boat specifications.
