The shipyard pricing my newbuild has proposed a Sisu diesel, a 4 cylinder for my application.

I wanted to get some feedback from those familiar with this brand. My own experience is with Gray Marine, Cummins and Deere. Also note, that my boat will be spending a good part of its life in Europe and other areas and will not be full-time based in America.

sisu diesel engine.

The Sisu diesel are very robust and longlived engines.
Has their root back from Bolinder tractor engines.
And then in Finland as Valmet/ Valtra. today Sisu, also tractor and marine use.

The engine can be compared to types as John Deere, as robust and most respected marine diesels.

In Scandinavia ofte sold in smaller fishing trawlers, and also as continiusly working gen-sets, wanted because of their low noise soft running, and troublefree working over many years.

Often sold from Scania dealers, as their smaller HP. range.

Service here in Europe i believe, are second to none.
