Halcyon is a 1972 36' Grand Banks Classic Trawler, a U.S.C.G. Documented vessel of 26,000 pounds.
She is an all-round seaworthy performer and is capable of real deep water cruising. Her long keel, hard chine, and deep forefoot hull provide stability and seaworthiness, even when Lake Erie gets boisterous.
Built with Philippine mahogany over Yacal frames, she features high bulwarks with sturdy teak handrails, bronze stanchions and hardware, and teak grab rails on the house sides, anchor platform with anchor roller and bow pulpit, and electric capstan. Newly refinished teak swim platform, transom boarding steps, wide side decks, port, starboard and stern boarding gates.
Teak decks are overlayed with mahogany. Mahogany mast newly restored in hull-matched Jade Green.
A working steady sail is rigged on the boom. Boom is also rigged to be able to be used to launch the dinghy, which is an 8' Dyer Dhow on the aft cabintop dinghy cradle. The dinghy has oars as well as an electric trolling motor.
Twin economical Ford-Lehman 120 HP diesel engines have less than 4,000 hours. Cruising at 8 kts uses 3 gallons/hour. These proven dependable engines have been meticulously maintained.
New V-berth cushions. New Thetford portable MSD in aft head. Newer water heater. Shore power air conditioning.
New NavMan VHF with DSC. New NavMan / NorthStar Chartplotter, New Hourmeters, Rudder Position Indicator, 850 W Inverter, new Battery charger, plus battery charger for dinghy. New Galvanic Isolator. Raymarine Auto Pilot on Flybridge. New fresh water pump and delivery system, new shower pump. Custom mahogany forward hatch with Deck Prisms. Recent Survey (2014)
Ready to go! Just needs varnish and some paint.
Offered at $29,500.
