I have Naiad 252 stabilzers and the hydraulic tank has an adjustment rotary knob on it above the main filter. Does anyone know what this knob adjusts? it can be rotated to many positions and looks like a sensitivity adjustment or something.

Any help appreciated!

Need a pic of what you are talking about. One "knob" on top of the tank is actually the cap to oil tank. The other is the indicator as to when it is time to clean the oil filter.

Here is a pic of a similar tank to mine. The 'inidicator' knob is at the far left. Its not the oil tank cap as I have been using that for filling. Its the other one with an 'arrow' indicator on it. I guess from your post, this must be the oil filter cleaing indicator. How does it work? Is it just set manually or does it move gradually as the oil filter gets dirty? I have no graphics on my tank (someone painted!) anymore so its hard to tell where the indicator is supposed to be pointing.

Many thanks for the posts.

Yes, that is the oil filter indicator. If you have been fooling with it my advice would be to clean the filter and reset it. Give the nice folks at Naiad a call, and while you are at it have them sell you a manual. It may be possible to get a new top plate that shows the gradations of dirtiness. I never had to fool with mine as it is pretty hard to get the oil dirty.
