how many hours can i expect to get on Lehman Ford diesel engine if it was taken care of?

The Ford Lehman 120 is said to be a 12,000-14,000 hour engine between overhauls in recreational boat service if it's operated, serviced and maintained properly. Ancillilary components will fail and need to be repaired or replaced but the core engone has a reputation of being pretty long lived.

We have 8155 hours our FL SP135 and she just got broken in. ;) Here's the oil analysis summary.

Metals are all within the average range. Note that iron has increased a little, but that's a typical finding on a longer oil run. Iron is from steel parts like shafts and cylinders. No contamination like fuel dilution, water, or coolant was found. The viscosity was fine and air and oil filtration look good. Really, some nice trends developing so far. A longer run would be fine, but we like this interval too.

easy 15-20k

Mostly it will depend on theb RATE at which you burn fuel.

5+GPH , not a great service life,

2 or 3 GPH it will go till its KILLED (overheat, wrong oil , rust in place)

I personally know of 2 owners that had to rebuild at approx 6000 hours because of damage (overheat) by a previous owner that was not detected during a survey.
