Can't be two talkers on 0183. So the AP TX and GPS TX can't both go into the multiplexer.

The main reason I chose the NoLand AM43 was it collects the complete sentence from the device(s) before sending to the computer. I do appreciate the input if for nothing else but to make me think and review.

If 2 talkers won't work on the #3 input I could connect to the high speed input and reconfigure the baud rate to match the device. (?). I know it can be changed but this method would use the AIS terminals which would the require an expander if AIS is added at a later time. Is this a better option ?

Well it looks like the new AM43 is dead. Appeared to be working for about 10 minutes and then started losing input signals until there was nothing. :( Grrrr.

Simple wire issue resolved. All appears to work except a small glitch with the sounder. Ready for sea trial.

I have the same CVS-106 MKII - didn't know it spit out 0183! Thanks for that.

Hope that helps Refugio .

Thanks! I've had an 0183 setup for a few years - GPS, AIS to PC and EPIRB. And a more recent Garmin N2K network. I'll be connecting them with an Actisense NGW-1 next week, and then installing a Raymarine AP with its own STNG network. Which I then hope to bridge. So getting some depth data could be handy indeed!
