So now the Admiral should be able to work a spring line from the boat as you depart.

Question, do you have rub rails on the port side. Basically all you can do is force the boat against those two pilings and move, if by ropes if necessary, the boat forward into the slip.
Had to do that a couple of times when we were still in US. Never was comfortable and the results varied from time to time.
