Nordic Tug 37
Hi -

After joining the site last fall, lurking, searching archives, large amounts of reading and substantial travel miles we are finally trawler owners. Closed yesterday on a Nordic Tug 37.

Unfortunately it is still 5.5 hours away from us and it will be several weeks before we can move it to our NC waters.

Thanks to everyone for the shared knowledge & opinions. Lots of things still to learn and mistakes to be made but hopefully we will eventually be able to contribute more than an ear to the discussions.

Gene

Greetings,
Mr. Slow. Congratulations! Mistakes? Hell no! They're unforeseen/unavoidable learning opportunities...Like...Wait, what?

Congratulations Gene! We're in Oriental, or at least will be back there sometime around the end of May. Let us know if you're in the area. Coastal NC waters have some of the prettiest anchorages and best cruising on the East Coast.

Hello Just Bob,

Thanks! We will be keeping the boat in that area. Previously owned 3 different sail boats that we kept at Matthews Point Marina. Lived aboard an IP 32 for a year and spent that time cruising the NC sounds and the Chesapeake.

Not absolutely sure where we are going to keep this boat, spent a Saturday recently looking at different marinas in the area.

We're at River Dunes. Unless you want to be closer to the ocean, like the Beaufort area, it doesn't get any better than here. Not only is it a first class facility with great weather protection, it's pretty centrally located to cruise the whole area.

Pictures! Share that beauty:)

Let us get the boat to NC and then I will gladly post a few. The only ones that I have now show it in a covered slip and are pretty dark.

Congrats Gene!.....
