Boat application? Hmm? Why would this be better than just hand washing one's unmentionables in the sink?

A five gal rotella bucket works for me. Even cleans out the bucket!!
 
You could also use it as your salad spinner, or ???
 

That's what my great-grandmother (lived to be 104) still used in the 1960s on her farm near Iowa Falls. She also had a hand-cranked "squeezer" over another bucket to rinse the clothes. Memories ...

These are called mangles , and still sold today.
 
The simple solution is to put the dirty stuff in a canvas bag with soap and drag it astern for a few hours.

It still will need a FW rinse after its cleaned.

This is how it was done for hundreds of years on sail ships , the FW rinse being a rain shower.
 
We use "wonder wash" when cruising. It works great and didn't break the bank.

I have an electricity free washer, but she runs on quality red wine, which is more expensive than electricity.
