Interesting. I wonder how far off the shore he had anchored. An anchor alarm might have saved him a lot of headache and $$$.
 
Would'nt there have been crew on that sized boat at all times? Or certainly in strong winds??
 
I'm guessing the wind changed and they dragged into the beach. Many boats don't anchor to far off that beach.

Yes there would be/is a full crew on that boat. They charter it for something like $100,000 a week.
 
I'm willing to bet anchor alarms and standing an anchor watch will become SOP on that boat before the ink dries on the last check is written. Nothing about that looks cheap.

I am not sure but I don`t think I can see any Distress flag on the mast.

Either Victor, Yankee or Zulu might have been appropiate.

Perhaps they did not think of it or maybe I missed it.

The cause is obvious from pic 7. The crew were, like busy, on Facebook.
